Frontiers of Innovation

Lacey Learning Center is part of an elite group called the Frontiers of Innovation. Lead by Harvard University, Frontiers of Innovation is a diverse community of policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and philanthropists and is designed to catalyze cross-sector, cross-disciplinary collaboration and high-impact strategies for innovation in the field of early childhood policy and practice.The FOI initiative’s aim is to combine scientific insights, practical experience, and creative risk-taking to generate new policies and practices within the field of Early Childhood Education.

Teacher Spotlight:


Ms. Heather works in our Toddler North room.  She has worked at Lacey Learning Center for 3 years and has over 13 years of experience working with children.  Ms. Heather has her 3  stackable certificates in ECE.  She will be receiving her AA in ECE in August 2017. Ms. Heather has also completed her AA in Business Administrations, with a certificate in Business Operations.  On her spare time, Ms. Heather enjoys watching movies, going out to eat, traveling, camping, spending time with family, cuddling with her four legged child Rocco.

Teacher Spotlight:

Ms. Floy works as the executive chef and is our opening administrative assistant in the South building.  She has been working at Lacey Learning Center for 4 years and has over 30 years experience working with children.  She has her CDA in Infants/Toddlers.  On her spare time, Ms. Floy enjoys kayaking, playing with her pit bull, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and getting tattoos.
